Important to all residents with concerns about desal, Carmel River and
aquifer overdraft, sea water intrusion in Salinas River basin,
conservation, recycle, reuse, stormwater, urban and agriculture
trade-offs, relationship to growth, etc, etc, etc.
Presentations to city councils and water agencies have started. This
is the first presentation to consumers and grassroots interests.
This plan is in the late stages of development, and can substitute for
Cal Am's proposed desal at Moss Landing. It has been a wide-ranging
dialogue among stakeholders, and is intended to be a reliable long
term supply with financial and environmental advantages.
Come, hear the latest, and add your opinions.
Free and public invited.
