GREEN PARTY ENDORSEMENTS JUNE 5 ELECTION

Jane Parker is again our common sense choice for 4th District Monterey County Supervisor. Jane is changing the way Monterey County does business. She courageously challenges the status quo and made county government more accountable. We encourage you to join us in walking a precinct, calling your neighbors and helping get out the vote. Volunteer through her website here: http://www.electjaneparker.com/.

On April 5 the Green Party of Monterey County offered our unanimous endorsement to Marc Del Piero for 5th District Supervisor.

Marc has proven to be open, straight talking, and is willing to take positions that are not mealymouthed.  We won't have to wait until after a vote to find out where he stands. His informed positions are clearly stated and out there for all to see. We need Monterey County Supervisors who will work to solve our problems and will proactively work towards solutions. Marc has rec'd the endorsement of LandWatch found Mike DeLapa.

We support Del Piero because we respect transparency and access, participation and listening, engagement and democracy. Marc Del Piero felt he could not sit idly by with his experience and expertise and watch corruption and sheer incompetence destroy this County.

We endorse Eric Peterson for Congress, 17th Congressional District. Eric says, "I’m running because the Green Party can make a difference, by ending the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan, by implementing single-payer health care, by revitalizing the economy with The Green New Deal, by making Pinnacles National Monument into a National Park, and by making the new Fort Ord Soldiers National Monument into the best it can be.”

Professor Thomas A. Moore, former Marina Coast Water District Director and Sierra Club Ventana Chapter board member has created a fund, More Transparency, to cover expenses of videotaping the Marina Coast Water Board meetings. Despite ongoing and frequent calls for the MCWD to pay the nominal sum required for professional videotaping and broadcast on local Access Monterey Peninsula channels, they continue to hold meetings in cramped chambers with paper covered windows, even going so far as to pipe in muzak during meetings to further complicate audio recordings. What's going on in there?

Your donations are welcome to "More Transparency" P.O. Box 693, Marina, CA 93933.
